Day 02 : Cape Town
Spend your day exploring full day stunning Cape Peninsula. Drive past the sparkling beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. Wind your way along legendary Chapman’s Peak. Drive to the rocky seascapes of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Continue along the coast to the delightful penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Day 03 : Cape Town
Today’s sojourn explores full day nearby wine lands. Learn all about the process of wine-making, from grape to goblet. Revel in the scenery — like the breathtaking views of Paarl and the picturesque little village of Franschhoek, the gourmet capital of the cape. Take a stroll through historic Stellenbosch with its Cape Dutch architecture, absorbing the quaintness of this lovely university town.

Day 04 : Cape Town
Immediately after breakfast, you will meet with your guide and ride in a comfortable car for a two-hour journey in the safari park. Check your cameras! They must not fail you. Upon arrival you will be picked up in a special safari jeep, equipped for observing animals. An experienced ranger will help you look for the animals and come as close to them as possible.
After the safari you will return to the lodge, where you will find a beautifully laid table. The delicious buffet dishes will not leave you indifferent. After dinner you can relax by the pool.
Return to the hotel to 5:00 pm.

Day 05 : Cape Town – Kruger NP
With a couple of short flights, you’ll be on your way to your safari adventure within a private reserve bordering the famous Kruger National Park. Settle in and soak up the tranquility of the African bush before embarking on your late afternoon game drive. This superb sanctuary is home to an abundance of wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled.Overnight at Lodge.

Day 06 : Kruger National Park
Just as the wildlife awakens, meet your safari ranger and hop aboard your open safari vehicle for a thrilling game drive. Photograph away as you spot the Big Five and other wildlife found on the reserve. On your late afternoon drive, pause for a sun downer as the sun dips below the horizon.

Day 07 : Kruger National Park
With your skilled ranger, explore the rarer sights and wonders of the bush during your game-viewing activities today. Perhaps take a guided walk through the bush or arrange for a candlelit alfresco dinner as the Southern Cross begins to twinkle.

Day 08 : Kruger NP – Johannesburg
Set out on your final game drive in search of those hard-to-spot cheetahs. Head back to camp for a hearty breakfast and relax until it’s time to transfer to the Skukuz airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you are transferred to you hotel.
Afternoon at leisure.

Day 09 : Depart Johannesburg
Deaparture transfer to the Airport for onwards destination.

Magnificent South Africa Tour
Duration: 10 Nights / 11 Days

Day 01 : Arrive Cape Town
Upon arrival at Cape Town Airport you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Cape Town. The rest of the day is free to rest from the long trip and recuperate a little of your jet lag.

Day 02 : Cape Town
After breakfast pick up for morning half-day Cape Town City and Table Mountain tour. Take a ride up the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (weather permitting) to get to the summit of Table Mountain from where, on clear day, you get spectacular views of the City, its Waterfront, Camps Bay, the majestic Hottentots Holland Mountains to the East and the mountains of the Cape Peninsula all the way down to Cape Point to the south. After descending the mountain, you will depart on a tour of the “Mother City” taking in Signal Hill – where the Noon Day Gun is fired at midday, every day except Sunday – through the colorful Bo-Kaap or Cape Malay Quarter, past the Grand Parade, City Hall and the Castle of Good Hope and South African Cultural History Museum and a visit to V&A Waterfront.

Day 03 : Cape Town
Enjoy a full day tour of Cape Point. Flank the cold Atlantic Ocean en route to Hout Bay and enjoy a half hour cruise to Seal Island. Then continue on to Cape Point and reach the Cape of Good Hope, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. The Flying Dutchman funicular takes visitors at Cape Point up to the lighthouse, where there is an outstanding view of the point and ocean. The funicular is named after a ghost ship whose destiny it is to sail the oceans forever. This is the real Cape Point, the southernmost point on the peninsula and a spectacular sight, covered in endemic fynbos and home to breathtaking bays, beaches and rolling green hills and valleys. Afternoon visit to the Penguins at Boulders Beach and, then, continue to the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens that showcases some of the Cape’s rich flora and is rated as the seventh best of its kind in the world.
Return to the hotel for overnight. 

Day 04 : Cape Town
Depart for a Winelands tour and start by enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch Winelands. After stop at the Afrikaans Language Monument continue to Stellenbosh, a blend of historical architecture, student life, epicurean delights and oak-lined avenues surrounded by mountains and vineyards. A walking tour of the town center allows visitors to take in its beautifully preserved Cape Dutch and Victorian architecture, as well as the many enticing art galleries, craft shops, clothing boutiques and gift stores. This is also the ideal base from which to explore the renowned local wine route, boasting a high proportion of the country’s leading wine estates. The town named Franschoek, meaning “French Corner” as it was founded by French Huguenots settlers, has a fascinating heritage showcased at the Huguenot Memorial Museum.

After the visit return to Cape Town for overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 : Cape Town – The Blue Train
After breakfast enjoy some free time to explore Cape Town before we travel to the railroad station and begin our journey on the iconic Blue Train. A Blue Train butler escorts you to your cabin aboard and provides an orientation of the train. As our journey to Pretoria begins, you are invited to join brunch in the Dining Car.
The service aboard The Blue Train is impeccable. We enjoy delicious meals and wonderful drinks throughout the day, including afternoon tea, aperitifs, lavish formal dinners of local cuisine and wine, and post-dinner drinks.

Day 06 : The Blue Train
Awake to scenes that continue to change before your eyes as we make our way toward Kimberley, the capital of South Africa’s Northern Cape, for a quick excursion. This city has enjoyed great prosper, thanks to the diamond rush of the 1870s, and is the site of the world’s largest excavation site. Upon arrival, we visit ‘The Big Hole’ and the Kimberley Mine Museum next door. The Big Hole was formed under the pressure of the thousands of people who visited the hill where the diamonds were first found. Incredibly, the hole is 1,519 feet wide, with the mine underneath reaching a depth of 3,599 feet. The mine is no longer in use, but the fascinating onsite museum details the history of the site and offers both preserved and restored period buildings from the early years of the rush.
 We reboard the train for lunch and continue our southerly journey through this wild continent to Cape Town.

Day 07 : Arrive Pretoria – Johannesburg
Enjoy a fresh breakfast on the train as we arrive in Pretoria. From here we transfer to the airport  Johannesburg. Scheduled Federal Air flight direct from Johannesburg to Sabi Sabi Airstrip. From here it’s a short drive to Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge located on the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.

Day 08 : Sabi Sand Private GR

Federal Air flight to Hoedspruit Airport. From here it’s a short drive to Karula Lodge located on the Kapama Private Game Reserve.

Day 05 : Kapama Private GR
Enjoy a 2 night stay at Kapama Karula with all meals, select drinks and morning and afternoon/evening game drives. Set on the banks of the perennial Klaserie River is the reserve’s most secluded and prestigious lodge, Kapama Karula. Meaning place of peace, Kapama Karula exudes calmness and depicts the pinnacle of luxury five-star safari accommodation. Each of the ten Superior Suites measure at least 90 square metres each, with an opulent full en-suite bathroom featuring indoor and outdoor showers. Grootbos Private Nature Reserve is a luxury eco-reserve, renowned for its natural beauty. Accompanied by specialist guides, go on 4×4 flower safari drives, horseback riding, bird watching, cave tours, beach visits and walking trails.

Day 05 : Grootbos Private Nature Reserve
The reserve is positioned on the doorstep of a marine paradise, and today you will head out for close encounters with Africa’s Marine Big Five. Spend the morning watching whales, sharks, dolphins, seals and penguins as they feed, frolic and play.

Day 06 : Grootbos Private NR – Shamwari GR
Fly to Shamwari Game Reserve, a secluded wildlife haven in the Eastern Cape. Meet your ranger and set out for your first game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for the graceful leopard, the powerful rhino, elephants, lions, buffalo and a multitude of other wildlife.

Day 07 : Shamwari Game Reserve
Wake up with the chattering birds and grab your camera for your early morning game drive. Your ranger will help you spot all kinds of wildlife from warthogs to honey badgers. This afternoon, look out for hippos submerging along the riverbank and watch for the African fish eagle searching for its dinner.

Day 08 : Shamwari Game Reserve
Dedicated to nature conservation, Shamwari strives to educate and promote awareness. In between safari drives, visit the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and the Born Free Big Cat Sanctuaries.

Day 09 : Shamwari GR – Kruger PR
Take in one last morning game drive before traveling to Port Elizabeth for your flight to Kruger Private Reserve. Flight time, on average, from Port Elizabeth to Nelspruit (Kruger National Park) is usually 02:26 hours on average, at an average distance of 1,216 km, for flights for the route (which may have 1 or more stops in other cities in between).
With a couple of short flights, you’ll be on your way to your safari adventure in the famous Sabi Sand Reserve. Settle in and soak up the tranquility of the African bush. Your luxury suite blends the elegance of a by-gone era with the romance of sleeping in a tent.

Day 10 : Kruger Private Reserve
Rise early when the animals are most lively for this morning’s game drive. The Sabi Sand is home to the elusive leopard, so keep your eyes peeled. Return to your camp for lunch and relaxation before setting out on an evening game drive spotlighting the nocturnal animals as they come out to forage and hunt.

Day 11 : Kruger Private Reserve
Guided walks are another way to explore the rarer sights and wonders of the bush, often missed when in a vehicle. Tonight, savor fine dining beneath the grand canopy of the African sky.

Day 12 : Kruger Private Reserve – Johannesburg
After the morning game drive and breakfast, transfer to Skukuza Airport for flight to Johannesburg. In Johannesburg you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Extension from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Day 01 : Johannesburg – Victoria Falls
Fly to spectacular Victoria Falls, hailed as one of the world’s Seven Natural Wonders. Later this afternoon, sail upstream on a sunset dinner cruise. As the sun sets, be ready with your binoculars to zoom in on the hippos cavorting in the river. Look out for the elephants as they make their way to the riverbank for their last drink before settling down for the night.

Day 02 : Victoria Falls
After Breakfast Keep an eye out for rainbows as you walk the misty rainforest trails of Victoria Falls.Proceed to the Victoria  Falls and hear the water pounding and witness the vapour rising, you quickly understand why local tribesman called the Falls “Mosi-oa-Tunya” (the smoke that thunders) and why the explorer David Livingstone exclaimed that a scene “so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”. The great columns of spray rising from the tumultuous falls can be seen from 80 kilometres away on a clear day. If you are lucky enough to be there at full moon, a “moonbow” can be seen in the spray instead of the usual daylight rainbow. Because the Victoria Falls fall into a chasm, rather than falling down an escarpment, it is possible to walk along the opposite side of the chasm, at the same height as the top of the Falls. From the unique walking trails the magnificence and glory of the Falls are head on and only about 60 metres (200 feet) away. The spray falls on the trails like soft rain, feeding the lush vegetation.

Day 03 : Victoria Falls
After Breakfast, Proceed to the footsteps of David Livingstone and travel up the Zambezi River above the Falls. There are several companies offering boat trips on the Zambezi River. Especially recommended is an evening sun downer boat cruise or a dinner cruise. As afternoon fades into twilight, animals come down to the river to drink as you go by.

Day 04 : Depart Victoria Falls
Departure tranfer to the Airport for onwards destination.

Day 01 : Arrive Port Elizabeth
Arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport and transfer to hotel. This major sea port and tourist destination is renowned for its sunshine and sandy beaches. Conditions in Port Elizabeth are ideal for sailing, swimming and scuba diving. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore the town or enjoy time at the beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Port Elizabeth – Tsitsikamma
After breakfast, Proceed to South Africa’s southern coastline, known as the Garden Route. You will experience a scenic drive towards the Tsitsikamma Forest. The protected and indigenous forest of Tsitsikamma contains an amazing array of vegetation, birds and wildlife and a wonderful winding board walk through the forest leads to the famous suspension bridge at Tsitsikamma Mouth. Explore the coastal bush and rocky shoreline and if you are more adventurous plunge off the world’s highest bungee jump at the Bloukrans River. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 : Tsitsikamma – Knysna
After breakfast, Proceed to continue your journey along the Garden route via Plettenberg Bay, where you can stop and relax at a stunning beach before making your way to the picturesque town of Knysna which is nestled between lush forests and a peaceful estuary. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Knysna
After breakfast, Proceed to the next days plenty of activities and attractions in Knysna. Consider a visit to the Knsyna Elephant Park where you will have the opportunity to touch, feed and photograph these gentle giants or take a trip to the nearby Monkeyland, where you will get taken on a monkey safari in the forest to learn about these fascinating creatures, ranging from the Gibbons of Asia to the Lemurs of Madagascar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 : Knysna – Oudtshoorn
After breakfast, Proceed to morning continue your journey to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world. Explore the historical Klein Karoo at your own pace and partake in some of the activities available. You can opt to visit the ostrich show farm to learn about the history and use of these unique birds or take a tour of the famous Cango Caves where you’ll discover mysterious limestone formations in a subterranean wonderland. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 : Oudtshoorn – Cape Town – Depart Cape Town
Departure transfer to onward destination.

PROGRAM 7 – Wonders of the Garden Route

Day 01 : Arrive Port Elizabeth
Arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport, you will be met and transferred to Addo National Park. A benchmark conservation success, Addo Elephant National Park offers a unique wildlife habitat, famous for the Addo elephants. We spend the afternoon on a game drive in our tour vehicle, in search of elephant, black rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard. Additional game drives conducted in open game-viewer vehicles are available at an extra expense. An evening spent at the floodlit waterhole allows us to watch the nocturnal animals and listen to their calls. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Addo National Park – Tsitsikamma
After breakfast, Proceed to fast on day 2 our journey takes us to a region of startling beauty along South Africa’s southern coastline, known as the Garden Route. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 : Tsitsikamma National Park
After breakfast, Proceed to we spend two nights in the Storms River Village, at the heart of the Tsitsikamma forest. We take a leisurely hike along one of the short trails, which allow you to explore the coastal bush and rocky shoreline. There is also an option to plunge off the world’s highest bungee jump at the Bloukrans River. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Tsitsikamma National Park – Knysna – Oudtshoorn
After breakfast, Proceed to after visiting ‘The Heads’ in Knysna, a town nestled on a tranquil lagoon, we travel over the Outeniqua Mountains into the Little Karoo to the town of Oudtshoorn. Here we visit the famous Cango Caves, with their impressive ancient stalagmites and stalactites. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 : Oudtshoorn – Stellenbosch – Cape Town
After breakfast, Proceed to Cape Town. In-route to Cape Town, we visit the pretty university town of Stellenbosch, for wine tasting and a cellar tour. Once in Cape Town the afternoon is at leisure, enjoy sundowners at one of the fabulous beaches or indulge in some last minute shopping at the V&A Waterfront. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 : Cape Town
After breakfast, Proceed to the next day we get to explore the many attractions the area has to offer on our Cape Point tour. We travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountain views and beach. Here you have the option to take a boat trip to Seal Island seasonal and not included in the cost. We carry on over Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve. In the afternoon we travel on to Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach entrance to Boulders Beach is optional, pay locally. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Depart Cape Town
Departure transfer to onward destination.

DAY 01 ARRIVE JOHANNESBURG

DAY 02 JOHANNESBURG – MPUMALANGA – KRUGER AREA

Departure to the Kruger Park area through the spectacular province of Mpumalanga and visiting places of impressive beauty such as Bourke’s Potholes, God’s Window or the Blyde River Canyon. The Kruger National Park has a high density of wild animals. It includes all 5 species of big game: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalo. Hundreds of other mammals inhabit here, as well as several species of birds, such as vultures, eagles and storks. The landscape includes mountains, shrubby plains, and tropical forests.

DAY 03 KRUGER AREA
Half board stay. Today we will enjoy a full day photo safari in a 4×4 vehicle through the Kruger Park. We are in one of the largest protected areas in Africa and a paradise for nature lovers. We can find the so-called “Big 5” by the first European hunters who arrived in this area: elephant, lion, buffalo, rhinoceros and leopard as well as many other species of mammals and hundreds of species of birds.

DAY 04 KRUGER AREA – PRETORIA – CAPE TOWN
Breakfast.
Return to Johannesburg with a panoramic visit en route to Pretoria, one of the most historic and monumental cities in the country; Pretoria is a purple landscape, due to the infinity of flowering trees that have earned this South African town the nickname “jacaranda city”. The diversity of architectural styles and influences of Pretoria’s buildings creates a unique urban landscape. Departure by flight to Cape Town.

DAY 05 CAPE TOWN

Free day to enjoy this charming city visiting its historic center or the lively Waterfront. The Johannesburg – Cape Town flight must be booked after 7:00 PM and from OR Tambo Airport. However, due to the reduction in air frequencies on this route, temporarily and, as long as there are no flights after 7:00 p.m., flight reservations will be allowed after 5:00 p.m. In this case, the panoramic tour of Pretoria could be reduced or suspended in order to arrive on time (you will be informed directly at the destination).

DAY 04 CAPE TOWN
Breakfast.
Free day that you can take advantage of for an optional excursion, which will take you along the Cape Peninsula. They will have the opportunity to see the Floral Kingdom of the Cape, along the coastline of the Peninsula, where they will be able to take pictures. They will also be able to see the place where two of the main currents that give temperature to two of our planet’s oceans meet.

The first stop will be at “Hout Bay”, where you will board a boat for a mini-cruise to an island where a colony of Cape seals lives. You will pass through Chapman’s Peak (weather permitting) and visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Later, they will have the option of taking the funicular (cost not included) to go up to the old lighthouse and enjoy the views of the famous “False Bay”.

They will also visit “Simon’s Town”, headquarters of the South African Navy headquarters and home to the famous colony of African penguins, a species that is in serious danger of extinction.

DAY 05 CAPE TOWN – JOHANNESBURG – KRUGER PARK AREA
Picnic breakfast.
Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Johannesburg.
Arrival at OR Tambo airport and around 08:15 am, departure by road, towards the Kruger National Park area.

You will traverse the province of Mpumalanga, visiting places of breathtaking beauty en route such as Bourke’s Luck Photoles in the Blyde River Canyon.

DAY 06 KRUGER PARK AREA
Very early, transfer by road to the entrance of the park, where the 4×4 vehicles are waiting. Beginning of the full day photo safari. The Kruger is one of the most famous natural parks in the world. It is among the largest and oldest, about to celebrate its century of existence.

During the route they will go in search of the so-called “Big Five”: lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and buffalo. They will also be able to observe cheetahs, giraffes, hippos and all kinds of antelopes and smaller animals.
Back to the hotel.
